Art Beyond Sight

Ujaagar Art collaborating with Kavach 2020

Kavach Foundation works towards the relief of the poor, education, medical relief and advancement of any other object of general public utility and services through activities that are not for profit.

Under this year-round project, we will be connecting with 3 Adivasi villages and providing a complete Watercolor Painting course to everyone aged 12 and above —we will also be supplying them with the necessary stationary and resources (all of which will be absolutely complimentary). Ujaagar will look towards promotion and sales of the paintings created by the villagers from the art program. By the end of the year they’ll be capable enough to create their own artworks and Ujaagar will also provide them a platform to sell their art.

Through this project we aim to impart to the students artistic knowledge and skills while providing them a space for creative exploration and expression. We are ambitious about making them artistically independent and also uplifting them financially by helping them sell their artworks to a wider audience. The life-long skills that the villagers will develop under this program will open for them more doors of opportunity in the future.
